| THE MARTYRS OF DOOREH
The village of Dooreh has many martyrs, prisoners of war and missing people. Some were killed in the war and others were murdered for their hunting rifles while hunting. The memories of all these martyrs must be honoured and kept in our hearts and minds since they were killed in the prime of their lives while protecting their village and families. Below are the names of these special men who shall never be forgotten. - Khoshaba Yako (priest), in 1910. - Athnial Shlemon Zadoq, Martyred on September 11th , 1961. - Daniel Khamis(Church Deacon), July 1947. - Adam Mikhael Moshe, July 1947. - Ismail Berro, July 1947. - Mar Yawala Andraws (Bishop), June 1973. - Amanoel Athnial Shlemon, 1986. - Markreat George Martyred on December 25th ,1969. - Aoshalem Shabe Gewargis , Martyred in 1979. - Odisho Mirza Yonan. - Yako Khoshaba Deko, January 13th, 1988. - Fouad Jibrael Yalda. - Nany Benyamin Adam. - Azarya Shiba Zaia. - Ra'ad Shiba Zaia. - Sanharib Jan Esho Sapper. - Lazar Gewargis Oraham.
