The attack was taken a long time, more than 7 years . Several tons of bombs were dropped on dooreh by a Tank, Helicopter and Aeroplances (f16) .
The Turkish army started attack our village by using force since 1991. A lot of bombs were dropped on village. Assyrian people in a village were suffered from frightened, the enemy was created the bad situation in the area Barware Bala, to make Assyrian people left the area Barware Bala. In sipte of all bombs, Assyrian people insisted to stay at the village and they were caught the earth by their teeth.They were decided to stay at dooreh village to do a different works. Not moving and Not shaking forever.
When the people started to return to their village, the enemy started to attack our villages in the area Barware Bala, One from that villages was dooreh.The last attack was in May 1997.Two aeroplanes comes and make a long air raid it takes more than 20 minutes throw a lot of bombs on our village, the time was in the morning at 10 o'clock .
The bomber (a type of Aeroplanes that dropes Bombs ) attacked the church, Mar Giwarges church was destroyed.One man from a village was wounded it was a very near miss.Thank God, NO one was killed. However some animals were killed .
The bombers (f16) alarmed the people therefore Assyrian people were escaped from a village at that day, they were run to a neighboring Assyrian village called Ainnony to save their life, they stayed two days then, they return to their village.
We must reward the people who lives in a village, because they give a new life to our village and they are win the war against the enemy .
