Dooreh or Dawria, Douri, is one of the villages (CHRISTIAN ASSYRIAN VILLAGES) . located west to the Nahla valley which is called Al khazar according to the Assyrian ancient name, and it floods into upper zap river . The village is emprises by the northerly mountains close to the Turkey Boarders, and Matina mountains is over looking it from the south, and it is located at the mountain slope leading to the valley , the nuts trees covered it by their shadow spreader greenfly till the springs in an attractive panoramic Scene, the inhabitants of these areas depend on the Agriculture basically. while dooreh is famous of fruit like Apple and walnuts trees . In the History . The site that occupied by (Nahla domlka ) the area is a connection point between Barware bala and the lower Tayari . The historians mentioned that dooreh name, as in the book of Christian mountaineers (Hakari and south of Kurdistan) published by sorboun university , Paris 1985,by Michael Shfaleih, he indicated it by the cross work in the map and explained it by saying, at the big zap most of the NASTARI VILLAGES are located , There are 15 villages, there dooreh is located the center of the priest, and Ayn nouni is the main villages. He indicated in another place in the mid of the 19 century, that there were 26 villages belonging to dooreh because of it is being separated from the AL QOUSH in the 18th century ,Archbishop location is there ,beside the village there is a drilled building, in the rocks near small MAR QAYOMA church, shafaleih supported that by a comment of the traveler Aysorth that it is a hermitage and not religions site, among it is Bishops who participated .
